I’m a fourth and fifth grade teacher and math instructional coach in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is my 16th year teaching! I have a BFA in Theatre Performance and M.Ed in K-8 Math Education, both from the University of Texas at Arlington. Between teaching my own classes, I support pre-service teachers and coach upper elementary STEM teachers on my campus as a Multi-Classroom Leader for the Opportunity Culture program.
Why Bluebonnet Math Notes?
I saw a curricular gap between what’s provided by the state of Texas and what students (and teachers!) actually need. The guided notes I provide are a resource I personally use with my own students, holding them accountable for the lesson content while also providing them a resource to refer back to during independent work time. I added bonus “big ideas” to stamp key vocabulary and concepts.
